Eco Ed Events are collaborative spaces designed to bring together educators, academics, practitioners, businesses and policymakers to explore how education can drive environmental and social change. Each event offers a mix of dynamic workshops, networking opportunities and shared learning experiences centred around education for sustainability.
The aim of the Eco Ed programme is simple: to share best practice, amplify great ideas and connect the growing network of schools, organisations and individuals committed to building a more sustainable education system. Participants exchange knowledge, showcase successful projects and explore new ways to embed sustainability across all subjects and age groups.
Over the past few years, Eco Ed Events have been hosted in partnership with leading institutions across the country, including the University of Southampton, University of the West of England, Newcastle University, The Hepworth Wakefield, Belmont Estate and the Eden Project. Each event highlights the diversity of approaches to environmental education; from classroom innovation to community-based projects and nature-focused learning.
Most recently, Eco Ed London took place at Camley Street Natural Park, a unique urban nature reserve owned by the London Wildlife Trust. The event gathered educators and environmental leaders to share practical tools, insights and inspiration for integrating sustainability into everyday teaching and learning.
Eco Ed Events continue to grow as part of the wider Ministry of Eco Education initiative, creating opportunities for connection and collaboration between schools and the wider sustainability community. Together, they are building a network of educators who are shaping the knowledge, skills and values needed for a greener Britain.
